Overview

Martindale Abrasion & Pilling Tester
Determines abrasion and pilling resistance of all textile structures. Samples are rubbed against known abrasives at low pressures in continuously changing directions. Results compared against standard parameters. Available in 4, 6, or 9 test positions.

Specifications:

  • Drive system: PLC programmable control with large touch-screen

  • Abrasion test:
    • Max stroke of movement: 60.5 ± 0.5 mm
    • Weight of holder and spindle: 198 ± 2 g

  • Pilling test:
    • Max stroke of movement: 24 ± 0.5 mm
    • Weight of holder and spindle: 155 ± 1 g
