TF140C Elmendorf Tear Tester
Description: The TF140C Elmendorf Tear Tester is a falling-pendulum (Elmendorf-type) instrument designed to measure the ballistic tearing strength of textiles, plastics, paper, or board by propagating a single-rip tear from a cut. It is not suitable for sparse fabrics or stretch materials where the tearing direction may shift during testing.
Features:
- Complies with all known test standards
- Covers the widest test range: 0–12800 cN
- Large graphic touch panel for control without computer or software
- Automatic specimen clamping and notching
- Pneumatic specimen gripping system ensures sufficient clamping pressure to prevent slipping
- Automatic compensation for friction and leveling errors, eliminating the need for a slave pointer
